St. Charles is a premier suburb of Chicago, with a population of 33,000. This historic city was founded in 1834, and it’s better known as the ‘Pride of the Fox’. This affluent community is situated on the Fox River with a bustling downtown district and the 1st Street Plaza just steps away.
St. Charles is also known for its 10/10 ranking 303 School District and athletic programs. In 2023, they won the National Championship for wrestling, and two students were drafted into the MLB.
The St. Charles Park District boasts 20+ miles of trails that meander through the many community parks and natural areas and also join up with other regional paths such as the Fox River Trail and Great Western Trail.
The Metra railway stops in the neighboring town of Geneva, continues to the La Fox station and ends in Elburn, IL.
St. Charles was voted #1 in Kane County for best drinking water in 2022.
